Get to Know Me!

Hi! I’m Megan, the owner of Off-Script Archiving.

I am a US Navy veteran and I have a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree from the University of Pittsburgh.

From a very young age I have had an interest in historical items. I loved looking through my mom’s old toys, photos, and her textbooks from secretarial school! Don’t even get me going on Pyrex and Tupperware ;)!

I have also always had a passion for personal archiving. My photo albums as a child were quite detailed with dates, names, and locations of the photographs. In college, my digital photo albums and class files were unparalleled with cohesive naming conventions and organization. My time in service resulted in many binders of documents, multiple copies of both digital and physical photos, and the hoarding of letters, ephemera, and mementos.

Little did I know, all of these practices I harnessed over a lifetime would serve me well in pursuing a career as an archivist! I earned my MLIS in May 2026 and started Off-Script shortly after. My goal is to bring archival services to my rural, northwestern PA hometown, where resources are limited. I am dedicated to making these services more widely available in order to preserve the stories and voices that will otherwise be lost to time.

My home and office are located in northwestern Pennsylvania, but I am willing to travel or work remotely on projects.

Simply get in touch :) !
